An ebook only needs the front. A paperback is printed as one sheet that wraps around the book: back cover, spine and front cover together, with bleed on the outside edges. KDP asks for that whole wrap as a single PDF, and so does IngramSpark.
- The spine width depends on your page count and paper, so it is different for every book.
- Bleed has to extend past the trim on the outside edges, because that strip is cut off.
- The back cover needs a clear zone where the barcode goes.
- Spine text is only allowed once the book is thick enough for it.

Many front covers are made for a screen, not for ink. If yours is blurry at print size, has misspelled AI lettering, or needs real typography, it is fixed as part of the same job: The Print Wrap includes everything in Front Cover Rescue. You see a watermarked proof before anything is final.

Can you design a back cover for a front cover someone else made?
Yes. Send me the front cover file and I design the spine and back cover to match it, whether the front came from an AI tool, Canva or another designer.
How is the spine width worked out?
From your page count and the paper you print on. Every book has its own spine width, so the wrap is built to your exact page count rather than from a generic template.
Do I need my own ISBN barcode?
Not for KDP. If you do not supply a barcode, KDP places one on your back cover, so the barcode zone is left clear for it. If you have your own ISBN barcode, it can go in the same zone.
Will the wrap work for IngramSpark as well as KDP?
Yes. The wrap is set up with the bleed, safe zones and template alignment for KDP and IngramSpark.
What if my front cover has problems too?
